Uh-oh, Andrew is ready to move

Exactly 4 weeks ago Andrew rolled from tummy to back. Today, he rolled back to tummy several times. If he is anything like his sis' was, he will be rolling across the floor in no time!

Wrestler vs. Gymnast

Andrew likes to eat. This was apparent as we started rice cereal and now oatmeal. Since then just over 2 weeks ago, he is very interested in food. His eyes don't blink as he watches us eat our meals. Katie was just the opposite. Not interested and I don't think she ever swallowed a spoon full of rice, it all just came right back out. And, if I knew then what I know now I would have known that at 2 1/2 she still wouldn't be much of an eater. She is more of a grazer...a nibble here and there whenever she has a moment to pop something in her mouth. And, as a result she was and still is a peanut. Weighing in at a whopping 24 lbs, I fear that her brother may catch up in no time.

....Andrew just started wearing #3 diapers. Katie wears #4 diapers....just one size behind his big sister and 25 months difference in age! Keep in mind he never wore a newborn diaper, not even in the hospital the day he was born. The tabs wouldn't close over those beefy legs. Meaty thighs and I LOVE them! That said, I love Katie's little stick legs too.

If I had to predict a sport for Andrew, I would say wrestler with his physique. Katie, I would say gymnastics. Katie did just complete 5 months as a "Twinkling Star" at Tri Star Gymnastics and if I do say so myself, was pretty awesome.

Giddy Andrew

Andrew is a very laid back smiley baby. He loves to laugh, especially at his sister. She is always running around making some sort of funny noise or in his face trying to make him smile. His sister, from a very sleep deprived memory, was different. .. more of a contemplative or serious. Not that case, now for sure. Now, Katie is a silly 2 1/2 yr old has quite the imagination and sense of humor.

Daddy's Helper

While Ned was cutting the lawn this weekend, Katie was swimming in her pool when all of a sudden she ran up on the deck and dragged her Bubble-mower down the stairs yelling "I help Daddy." It doesnt get cuter than this! She marched her little rear in her swimsuit and helped Daddy. Talk about endearing... These are the good moments!

Tuesday, June 24th

Yesterday Katie went to the dentist for the first time. She did AWESOME! She opened her mouth for both the hygentist and dentist and let them count her teeth. 20 in all! Made me think of what a big girl she is. No tears, not even a fuss. She told Daddy all about it and was very proud of herself. The highlight...a new toothbrush and a bouncey ball!

Monday, June 23rd 2008

A few of my friends have blogs and I absolutely love reading them. It is a great way to share what is going on in our lives with little effort on my part....Just upload a few pictures and write a little ditty on what's happening in good Ol' "Dover Hampshire", as Katie would say.

I will continue to send Andrew's monthly pictures for his first year of life as I did with Katie, but after that it will only be this blog. And, as soon as I figure it out, the blog will have video clips in addition to information about what's happening in our lives.

You can log on an view our family blog once a week, once a month, once a year... whatever you have time for. It will mostly include Katie and Andrew, but from time to time maybe even an exciting happening with Ned or I. :)

Everyone seems to be "blogging" these days so why not try it?!!! Just because I am completely out of the technology loop isn't an excuse not to try to keep up...
