Christmas Tree take TWO

December 11 we got a perfect spruce variety christmas tree. The sales "guy" said spruces last forever.. Said it would last until "March" to quote him. Full branches, exact fit in our house, wonderful smell. Ned and I commented more than once that this was indeed the BEST tree we had ever had.

So we thought...

(notice the pile of needles on the floor. You cant even see the tree skirt!)

Not so perfect anymore.

Starting roughly one week after purchasing the perfect tree, pine needles were dropping by the dozen. December 24 ornaments were dropping off the tree by the dozens.

We had a decision. Risk having a tree with no ornaments and no needles on Christmas morning or trudge out in the cold and purchase another tree on Christmas Eve.

We went with the second option. Katie was thrilled!! She got to decorate a second tree!
Ned and I however were not to thrilled with buying another tree (no, the place did not give us a refund) and putting up another tree on Christmas Eve.

The second tree...After Santa came.

Guess the first tree wasn't so perfect afterall...We won't be buying a tree from that place again!
